I was recently asked how I prepare turkey meatballs after I posted to Facebook that I could eat them every single day of existence and how delicious they are.  Actually, I do eat them almost everyday and I said DELICIOUSness.  Yes, I know it’s not a word…yet.  Anyway, after this post, a  friend asked how I made them, probably because she makes them too, so I figured I would share them her and with the world.  Ok Ok… Its not a secret recipe or a treasured family heirloom, but I guarantee that if you haven’t been introduced to the turkey meatball, then you are about to make a lifelong friend.  Happy eating!

Turkey Meatballs:

  • 2lbs ground turkey
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 2tsp dry yellow mustard
  • 2tsp black pepper
  • 1tsp salt
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 celery stalks (finely chopped)

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Mix all ingredients together in same bowl
  3. Roll into balls (ping pong ball size) and place on large cookie sheet or use mini muffin pan. Spray sheet or pan or coat with olive oil.
  4. Bake 40 minutes
